This bench is designed for commercial use. It has tenon and mortised through joints. The legs are over 2 3/4 by 2 3/4 the bench is built specifically for heavy traffic areas. We currently have 14 of these same benches placed in a mueseum that sees thousands and thousands of visitors a year. Needless to say they are built solid.
